Description
In July 2020, I spent several nights chasing the fleeting brilliance of C/2020 F3 – better known as Comet NEOWISE. On this particular evening, the skies above Warren County, New Jersey finally opened up just enough to reveal the comet streaking through a break in the clouds. Below it, the iconic Delaware Water Gap rests on the horizon, while a quiet family farm glows with the soft flicker of fireflies. This was the final chance to capture NEOWISE before it disappeared into the cosmos — not to return for another 6,800 years.
